When you have an item or items you want to give to your heroes, you construct a treasure chest or some other container.

Different containers can hold different quantities of items. A bag may hold only coins or perhaps a couple daggers while a chest may hold a range of gold and silver bars along with gems and armor.

First select where you want the container to materialize. A very dangerous place (one with enemy spawn points and a boss monster) would allow you to materialize a full chest. A location with little to no monsters would limit the container to only a small bag with a few coins.

The container then appears in the dungeon where it waits for a hero to happen across it and release its contents.

Perhaps the contents burst out of the container and spill onto the floor when opened.

Scatter precious gems and metals throughout world. For example:

When certain conditions are met (specific to each item) you can materialize legendary items for the characters in your dungeon.

For instance:
1) A knight is in a pool of water
2) You have gathered enough steel
3) You have a legendary item token
4) Materialize the legendary sword Excalibur for the knight to equip.

When a hero dies they respawn in the church. Move the spawn point to inside the church. Make a column of light shine down on the church, or something else, to indicate that a hero has respawned.

Put a 15 minute time limit on the day-cycle.

You can work in the mine all day long, then at the end of the day the game retires to the camp.

This gives the game the opportunity to scan the dungeon and fill it with life.

At night the player can sell their loot and purchase new gear.
